Crash sees HTC-Columbia down to 8 men; Can Cav still take the Mailot Vert?

Following the drama of yesterday's stage, Adam Hansen was forced to abandon his race. Bravely continuing his ride following his crash, HTC-Columbia later confirmed that the rider had suffered a broken clavical, and fractures to his sternum and a rib. With Cavendish involved in the first of three crashes in the final 3km of the stage, he saw stage winner Petacchi zipped into the Mailot Vert, and rival Thor Hushovd (Cerevelo) take points crossing the line in third place behind Mark Renshaw (THR).
