The glorious sunshine that the riders basqued in yesterday gave way to showers in the run into the Beligium city of Spa. On the 3rd categorised descent of the day, OmegaPharmaLotto rider Mickael Delage was caught up in a crash that saw him forced to join the list of abandoners, just three days into the Tour de France. If the organisers wanted drama when they announced this Tour, a homage to the Spring Classics and a Centenary Celebration of the Pyranees, then their efforts have been rewarded.
